Division by a fraction (“why does ÷ ½ make things bigger?!”) is where most children — and honestly most adults — run on memorised rules. The video spends real time on the why, with pictures. A child who understands it here never fears fractions again.

Quick questions parents ask
My child can compute but can’t solve word problems — what helps?
Word problems fail at the translation step, not the calculation step. The fix: before computing anything, have your child say which operation and why (“it says one-third OF the total, so multiply”). Our worksheet pack has a page built exactly for this.
Is “flip and multiply” banned in the new book?
Not banned — but the book (and our video) first shows why it works, using simple pictures of how many halves fit in 3. After that, flip-and-multiply becomes a shortcut your child owns instead of a spell they recite.
