Tallentex Preparation Guide (Class 6–8)

Everything a parent needs to know about Tallentex — in plain language. (Tallentex is conducted by ALLEN Career Institute; Azone Classes is not affiliated with ALLEN. We help students prepare.)

Tallentex kya hai?

Tallentex is a national-level talent search exam by ALLEN for students of Class 5–10. It tests Maths, Science and mental ability at a level slightly above school exams. For most Class 6–8 students it is the ideal first competitive exam: familiar syllabus, real exam-hall experience, and cash awards/scholarships for good ranks.

Key facts

  • Eligibility: Class 5 to 10 (we focus on 6–8)
  • Registration: usually April–August on the official Tallentex website
  • Exam window: usually August–October (varies by zone)
  • Pattern: MCQs — Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths + IQ/mental ability; +4 / −1 marking in most editions
  • Syllabus: mostly current class + previous class NCERT

Always confirm dates and pattern from the official notification for the current year.

Syllabus → NCERT mapping

The single biggest mistake parents make is buying extra books. 90% of Tallentex questions come straight from NCERT concepts — asked in a twisted way. Download our free chapter-by-chapter mapping chart to see exactly which chapters to master:
